Where does fancy start...
In the head or in the heart? Just one of many profound tidbits from "Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory". I never got all those little ramblings that Gene Wilder's character mumbles throughout the movie when I watched it as a child but that's the beauty of this particular film; a little lesson for any age.
So where does fancy start? When we fancy something where does that feeling originate? Really, I *need* to know this. I'm sure I could apply some book learnin' to this and read some educated opinions about desire and have a better place to start, but I really want to just sort of ruminate on it in my own head. What we desire is a reflection of ourselves, obviously. It points a spotlight at the holes in our lives, the places we want to fill. It's the Buddhist way to spend your life attempting to be absent of desire and I think that would be the definition of bliss. To not be driven by desire, to be at peace with things as they are. *sigh* I'm not going anywhere with this, I just really need to take the wheel.
