Gratitude

I have the BEST online friends, I truly do. The internet has allowed me to share a closeness with a group of eight women I would never have known otherwise, because we're in such diverse geographic locations. We met through our shared passion for scrapbooking at an online message board, then decided to form a Yahoo group so we could chat privately. Since that time we've shared one another's laughter, tears, triumphs and heartaches. I find myself regularly wishing that they lived closer so we could sit around sharing margaritas and making eachother laugh even harder than we do with our group posts. I have had the pleasure of meeting three of them, but that leaves five awesome, beautiful women I have yet to meet in person. I'm determined to meet them all someday. Is it weird to think of these girls as some of the best friends I have when we've never even met? Well, I do. They listen to me whine about the craziness of life and my irrational fears, they offer support and advice and a virtual hug when I need one. They ask how things are going when I've been too busy to post and most awesome of all, go out of their way to send me little scrapbooking goodies in the mail just to brighten my day. I know when something exciting happens to me in the scrapbooking world I can share it with them and they get it, just as I understand all their successes (and there are many, these are talented women!). I know I'm lucky to have them in my life and I needed to say it - lol. I love you girls, thanks for being such amazing friends. *smooch*
